use ShopSite as our e-commerce software. With their one-time
license fee, you own your own copy of it. This saves you money
in the long run over the other companies that let you use it
for "free" but then charge a percentage on all your
sales, or up charge you for your hosting, hiding the true cost
of the software.
It has user friendly web-based access to
add pages and products, but also to retrieve orders. It can be
linked directly to online credit card processing if you want
or you can leave it turned off and run the cards when the order
is ready. We can create a custom look for your site or use the
basic templates provided. Training
is available for you or your staff remotely via phone, e-mail
or in person (depending on area).
There are two levels and prices for the
license:
ShopSite Manager . . . . . $495
This will handle literally
thousands of products and pages. But does NOT have a "Search"
function. Good for basic online stores with not a lot of products.
Or if you have distinct categories.
ShopSite Pro . . . . . . . . . . $1295
Primary feature people
want is the "Search" function for both the pages and
your customers and for you to manage your database. Good for
stores with many different categories and products.
NOTE: There is a free version,
but it only handles 15 products and can create only five pages).
You can start with this and upgrade to Manager, then upgrade
later to Pro for just the difference in licensing fees.
